This tour will explore Almaty and its neighboring cities, offering a deep dive into Kazakh culture and its stunning natural landscapes:

  1. Wander through bustling local bazaars, where rich culture and unique crafts come alive.
  2. Admire the stunning architecture of Almaty’s iconic cathedrals.
  3. Hit the slopes at the renowned Shymbulak Ski Resort, where adventure meets alpine beauty.
  4. Be captivated by the serene beauty of cascading waterfalls, nestled in the mountains.
  5. Discover the breathtaking Kolsai and Kandy Lakes, sparkling gems surrounded by towering peaks.
  6. Explore the stunning Charyn Canyon, where dramatic rock formations and natural wonders await.

Adventure Schedule

Day 1: Almaty City Delights
Start your Kazakh journey with a city tour of Almaty, set against the majestic Tian Shan mountains. Visit Independence Square to learn about Kazakhstan’s history, then enjoy a peaceful walk through Panfilov Park, home to the iconic Zenkov Cathedral—a colorful wooden masterpiece built entirely without nails.
Next, explore the lively Green Bazaar, where you can shop for local treats like dried fruits, nuts, spices, and traditional crafts. You’ll have time at each stop to explore and snap some great photos.

Day 2: Shymbulak Ski Resort Escape (1 hour drive from Almaty City)
Head into the mountains to visit Shymbulak Ski Resort, a scenic retreat known for its alpine views and fresh mountain air. Ride the cable car from Medeu Valley, taking in stunning vistas of cliffs, forests, and peaks along the way.
Spend the day exploring or relaxing in this beautiful mountain setting. In the evening, return to Almaty and enjoy free time at your leisure.

Day 3: Serenity at Issyk Lake (1.5 hours drive from Almaty)
Escape the city and head into nature with a trip to Issyk Lake, located in the Issyk Gorge of the Tian Shan mountains. Surrounded by forested hills and dramatic peaks, this turquoise lake is a hidden gem perfect for relaxing, walking, and nature photography.
The peaceful setting also holds historical significance, being near the burial sites of Saka warriors.

Day 4: Charyn Canyon, Kolsai Lake & Village Stay
Depart Almaty in the morning and head to the stunning Charyn Canyon, known for its dramatic red cliffs and the unique Valley of Castles. Take in the views or enjoy a short hike through this natural wonder (hiking area or jeep can be taken at your own expense).

Continue to the peaceful Kolsai Lake, surrounded by forested hills and alpine beauty—perfect for relaxing and taking photos.
By evening, arrive at Saty Village and check into a traditional Kazakh guesthouse. Experience local hospitality and enjoy a delicious home-cooked dinner.

Day 5: Kaindy Lake Adventure & Return to Almaty
After a traditional breakfast (included), take an off-road USSR jeep ride to the stunning Kaindy Lake, famous for its eerie submerged forest and crystal-clear waters. Choose to hike or ride a horse (optional and at your own expense) through the scenic mountain trails to reach the lake. Take your time to explore, enjoy the scenery, and capture unforgettable photos.

Later, return to Saty Village for a local lunch (included), then drive back to Almaty, arriving in the evening with free time to unwind or explore.

Day 6: Until Next Time!
As your Kazakh journey comes to a close, we bid farewell—not goodbye. May the memories of canyons, lakes, mountains, and warm local hospitality stay with you until we meet again on your next adventure!

  • Any excursions (like horse riding, jeep rides, etc..)
  • Airport pickup (can be arranged upon request)

The meeting point for Day 1 and full trip details will be provided upon final booking confirmation. Please note that additional transfer fees may apply if your chosen accommodation is located outside the standard pickup zone.
